Tranzalpine Train to Greymouth

Early start at 7.15 to travel to Greymouth by the Tranzalpine Train. 
Picked up our car in Greymouth and headed to Franz Joseph with a detour of about an hour to Hokitika Gorge.
Arrived at about 5.30 pm.

Today was a bit overcast then rained in the afternoon. First stop was Larnach Castle where we did a tour of the castle which was fantastic as Rodger the guide was so informative. Then it was Devonshire tea in the cafe and a walk around the gardens. We then continued out on the Otago Peninsula as far as we could go.
